Join Free Thinkers for Science After Hours at the Carnegie Science Center.

Experience a party atmosphere after hours on all four floors of the Science Center. With no kids around, expect deeper science content, riskier experiments, and party games with your friends. From space to robots, it’s the perfect night out for ages 18+ in Pittsburgh. Socialize with your friends by winding down the summer with science!

18+ Night: Team Design Challenge

Celebrate Friendsgiving with an engineering twist! Gather your crew and test your collective mettle with a series of team design challenges. Put your heads together to protect an egg from an 18-foot drop. Work as a team to construct the tallest, skinniest tower possible. Discover the science behind cantilevers—and more—while enjoying live music, food, and drinks with your friends!

Cap off the night with a Pink Floyd Laser Show in Buhl Planetarium (separate ticket purchase required at the ticket counter; tickets are limited).

Please note: Food and beverage are available in the RiverView Café. Proper identification must be presented for all alcohol purchases.

We will meet at the entrance between 5:45 and 6:00. Masks required.

Tickets are $20 and must be reserved on the Carnegie Science Center website: https://carnegiesciencecenter.org/programs/science-after-hours/
