DG1 - Women's Group

PFC's Discussion Groups are moderated forums with pre-selected topics. Anyone who wishes to participate in these discussions is welcome to do so.

This group is meant to be a space for women within PFC to meet and discuss whatever topics are of most interest. Meeting topics will be posted in advance, but please feel free to bring along topic or activity suggestions for future! 

Topic: How can we support and protect women's leadership?

Women leaders are some of the strongest leaders and important voices - Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Nancy Pelosi, Gov and Secy of State in Michigan, Dr. Rachel Levine. They are receiving multiple credible death threats because they are doing their jobs. Response from law enforcement to these threats has been weak. We have more emerging women leaders here in Allegheny County. 

Relatedly, how do we protect women's lives as law enforcement does a piss poor job, minimizes domestic violence and rape, and the abortion debate ignores the grim reality of illegal abortion and forced childbirth.
