PFC Covering Expenses to Travel to D.C. for Secularism Advocacy

Tuesday, January 23, 2024, 7:00 – 8:30 pm

Host: Dana M.

Join us in Washington D.C. on March 4-5.  The PFC will cover expenses* for members to travel to DC and advocate the government to support secularist issues. Learn more in this organizing meeting.

Learn how to advocate with your elected representatives in training put on by the Secular Coalition for America (SCA). Our stakeholders will meet with their representatives or senators (or their key staff).  If you have never done such advocacy before, this is a perfect opportunity to learn with training provided and meeting logistics setup.  If experienced, come and apply your pre-existing skills and gain further experience.  Members will be encouraged to advocate on behalf of PFC. They may wish to lobby for specific legislation in their own name or as part of the SCA's organized Lobby Day efforts.

If you are interested, but unable to attend our Jan 23 event, please email info@pghfreethought.org ASAP.

* If event is over-subscribed, we may not be able to cover full expenses for all participants. If so, subsidies will be prioritized based upon need and for first timers. Come to the event and learn more. Financial concerns should not be a limitation to participation.

    Please join us!

Participants are encouraged to join the Pittsburgh Freethought Community if not already a member.
