Anyone watching the January 6, 2021 attack on the U. S. Capitol will have noticed large wooden crosses, Jesus Saves flags, and other Christian symbols arrayed over the mob.  In fact, advocates of Christian Nationalism did play an important role in carrying out the attack.  Some candidates in the upcoming midterm elections, including the Republican candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania, advocate this dangerous ideology.
