Topic: Logical Fallacies

Host: Andy S

A fallacy is the use of invalid or otherwise faulty reasoning in the construction of an argument which may appear to be a well-reasoned argument if unnoticed.

When debating/discussing subjects with someone who holds a different view than you, it is helpful to recognize when both you or your partner are committing logical fallacies. The objective is never to point to your partner and tell them they're using the XYZ fallacy. You're trying to identify them in yourself to push you towards objectiveness. And also to be aware of them being used against you so you can defend.
